NASA Announces Free International Observe the Moon Night on Sept. 19

NASA will host an International Observe the Moon Night celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 to 8 p. m. CST at the U. S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The free event invites the public to learn about lunar science, space exploration, and cultural connections to the Moon. Experts will give talks, including highlights of lunar observations made by the Artemis II crew in April. Media coverage is requested by 3 p. m. Friday, Sept. 18, and must report to the Davidson Center. Attendees can participate in hands‑on STEM activities, a science stage show, a photo booth, face‑painting, and guided telescope tours by the Von Braun Astronomical Society. The evening is presented by NASA’s Planetary Missions Program Office and features Janet Ivey, host of “Janet’s Planet.”
