What happened
NASA's Artemis II crew members, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, will be awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor by President Donald J. Trump on August 28.
The ceremony will take place at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. The crew completed a 10-day mission around the Moon in April, marking a historic test flight as the first astronauts to fly aboard NASA's Orion spacecraft.
They traveled farther in space than humans have ever before, exceeding 50 years of lunar travel.
