NASA Announces Crew‑14 for ISS Mission, Launching Spring 2027

NASA has named the four‑member crew for its 14th commercial rotation with SpaceX, scheduled to launch no earlier than spring 2027. Commander Kayla Barron and pilot Chris Birch, both NASA astronauts, will lead the mission, joined by JAXA’s Makoto Suwa and Roscosmos cosmonaut Arutyun Kiviryan as mission specialists. After docking, the team will join Expedition 75/76 aboard the International Space Station. The crew will conduct scientific investigations and technology demonstrations that support future Artemis lunar missions and long‑duration exploration to Mars. Barron, a seasoned ISS veteran, will bring experience from her 2021 Crew‑3 flight, while Suwa and Kiviryan will make their first station visits.
