San Marino Joins Artemis Accords as 76th Signatory

What happened
On Friday, September 25, 2026, the Republic of San Marino became the 76th country to sign the Artemis Accords during a ceremony in Rimini, Italy. Minister of Industry and Technological Research Rossano Fabbri signed the agreement on behalf of San Marino, while NASA Europe representative Gregory Mann and U.
S. Consul General in Florence Joseph Tordella attended.
NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson highlighted the Accords’ role in promoting peaceful, transparent, and responsible space exploration and noted that NASA is inviting all signatories to contribute to its lunar return program through scientific payloads, technology demonstrations, CubeSats, and other capabilities. San Marino expressed its commitment to the Accords’ principles and its intent to participate in future lunar missions.
