Nepal Flood-Affected Areas Show Uneven Market Recovery

According to a recent assessment by the World Food Programme, markets in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts of Nepal are trading, but their recovery from floods remains uneven. Of 117 traders interviewed, 64 reported their markets as fully operational, while 43 described them as partially operational and 10 as closed. The assessment highlights supply capacity fragility, with 114 respondents reporting closed or partly open main supply routes and 72 estimating existing stocks would last less than one week if deliveries stopped.
