During an appearance on OutKick’s “The Craig Carton Show,” Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher said that politics never played a role in the Chicago Bears locker room while he was a player. He explained that a racial divide would have broken the team’s unity and that Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling during the national anthem would have been “really, really hard” for him to accept. Urlacher noted that the protest would have become a line in the sand and that it ultimately led him and his wife to stop watching pro football for several years. He emphasized that, in a locker room, the focus should be on teamwork rather than how a player got there.
