NNPC to Roll Out 70 Smart Self‑Service Fuel Stations Across Nigeria

Nigeria’s state oil company, the NNPC, announced plans to deploy 50 to 70 smart, self‑service filling stations nationwide within the next six months. The new sites will feature electric‑vehicle charging points, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dispensing, and digital payment options, allowing motorists to refuel and pay without waiting in line. By integrating technology into fuel retail, the NNPC aims to modernise the country’s fuel infrastructure, reduce congestion at traditional service stations, and support the growing demand for electric vehicles and cleaner fuels. The rollout will begin in major urban centres before expanding to regional hubs, with the company targeting full deployment by the end of the year.
