Concern's Cook for Gaza Fundraising Campaign Returns for Second Year
WHY IT MATTERS
The funds raised through Cook for Gaza will support Concern's critical humanitarian response in Gaza, providing essential services such as clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to displaced communities, and helping to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
What happened
Concern Worldwide has launched its second Cook for Gaza fundraising campaign to support people affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The campaign aims to raise funds for Concern's humanitarian response, which includes providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services to displaced communities.
Last year's event saw over 350 participants raise more than €160,000, which went towards delivering clean water to 10 locations in Khan Younis, Deir al Balah, and Gaza City. This year's campaign promises to be just as successful, with participants receiving digital fundraising guides, recipe cards, and a flavourful za'atar spice mix.
Concern's Humanitarian adviser, Catriona Pender, emphasized the importance of continued support, stating that people in Gaza are still coping with destroyed homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods, as well as restricted access to food and water.
