Cyprus Police Warn Drivers to Exercise Caution Amid Severe Weather

Police on Saturday urged motorists in Cyprus to reduce speed and adapt driving to the deteriorating road conditions caused by severe weather sweeping the region. Drivers were told to keep a greater distance from vehicles ahead, avoid sudden braking, acceleration or steering, and not attempt to cross flooded roads. The warning also highlighted the danger of strong winds that could affect vehicle stability, and the risk of fallen objects or branches on the road. Motorists were advised to check that their tyres, brakes, lights and windscreen wipers were in good condition and to avoid unnecessary travel when conditions become dangerous.
