Storms Cause Power Grid Damage in Cyprus

Severe storms have battered the power grid in Cyprus, causing damage and power outages in Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos. The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is working to restore and repair the grid as quickly as possible. The Avgorou community in Larnaca is particularly affected, with the network struck by lightning. In Nicosia, lightning has also interrupted the electricity supply, with the situation becoming more difficult as the weather worsens. EAC crews are on standby to carry out repairs, and the public is being asked to exercise patience.
