Reinhard Jumamoy’s clutch triple secures NU’s 87‑85 win over UST

In a tense UAAP Season 89 men’s basketball matchup, the National University Bulldogs edged the University of Santo Tomas 87‑85. With NU trailing 84‑85 and five seconds left, guard Reinhard Jumamoy launched a contested three‑point shot that banked in, turning a one‑point deficit into a victory. Jumamoy finished with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists, proving his audacity after missing five earlier threes. The win improves NU’s record to 4‑2, keeping the team in the top three of the standings and setting up a showdown against league‑leading FEU on Sunday. Coach Jeff Napa praised Jumamoy’s confidence and willingness to take responsibility under pressure.
