What happened
Astra, a launch provider, has set an early 2027 target for its return to operations. This comes as the global launch industry faces a shift with SpaceX planning to wind down Falcon 9 operations.
Firefly has also warned that launch costs may increase due to the reliance on Falcon 9's rapid and reliable service. Meanwhile, French startup HyPrSpace has delayed the inaugural flight of its Baguette One suborbital rocket to 2027.
The rocket is a single-stage vehicle capable of carrying up to 300 kg.
