Russia to Decide by End‑2026 Whether Damaged Marketplace Warehouses Must Be Rebuilt

Russian authorities and marketplace operators will determine by the end of 2026 whether every logistics complex hit by Ukrainian drone strikes needs to be rebuilt. Deputy head Roman Chekushov said it is too early to mandate a full restoration of the pre‑attack facilities. By year‑end, officials will assess how logistics will be restructured, the extent of the damage, and whether state involvement is required for any reconstruction. Since mid‑June, Ukrainian drones have repeatedly struck Wildberries’s largest warehouses, later targeting Ozon’s sites. Early August estimates placed the damage to Wildberries and its sellers at hundreds of billions of rubles. In late August, the Russian government approved support measures, including a tax deferral, for affected sellers and the marketplace itself.
