Russian Forces Launch Overnight Strikes on Ukraine, Injuring 16

Russian forces launched missile and drone strikes across Ukraine overnight, damaging residential buildings and injuring 16 people, including two children. The strikes hit a 16-story apartment building in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi District, where most of the injured were residents. In Odesa, a 19-story building was damaged, and six people, including two children, were injured. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed the strikes targeted Ukraine's defense industry and energy infrastructure. The Ukrainian news outlet Ukrainska Pravda reported that the injured were residents of the apartment building hit by a drone in Kyiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that warehouses, office buildings, and residential buildings were damaged in the strikes. Ukraine's State Emergency Service announced the number of injured. Serhii Lysak, head of Odesa's military administration, confirmed the damage and injuries in Odesa.
