San Francisco Airport Flyers Can Soon Clear Security in Wine Country
WHY IT MATTERS
This new service aims to alleviate flight congestion at SFO, particularly in bad weather, and offer travelers an alternative to driving. Landline's expansion in the region may also lead to new routes from SFO to other airports in California, including Monterey Regional Airport and Stockton Metropolitan Airport.
What happened
Landline, an airport transportation provider, is launching its first West Coast route on November 17, connecting San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Northern California's wine country.
The service will allow travelers to clear security at STS and then board a bus bound for SFO, where they can proceed to their connecting flights without needing to reclear security. The journey is expected to take around two hours, depending on traffic.
Adult fares will be $55 one-way, with children under 15 traveling free.
