Cyprus Police Warn of Fake Gesy SMS Scams

Cyprus police and the Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) issued a warning on Monday that fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the national health system, Gesy, are still circulating. The messages mimic official SMS notifications and attempt to trick recipients into opening links or providing personal information. The HIO has clarified that it never asks for passwords, login details, payment information, or other sensitive data via SMS, nor does it provide payment links.
