Cyprus to Move Residence Permit Renewals Online from January 1

From January 1, Cyprus will require all applicants to renew temporary residence permits—those for employees staying with the same employer, domestic workers, staff of foreign‑interest companies, and family reunification cases—as well as permanent residence permits to submit their applications exclusively through the government’s website, gov. cy. Applicants must create a CY login account and register their renewal online. The migration deputy ministry said the change is part of a broader digital transformation aimed at improving the quality and speed of public services for residents and businesses.
