Fitbit Edge Leaks: A Midrange Fitness Tracker
WHY IT MATTERS
The Fitbit Edge's development highlights the growing competition in the midrange fitness tracker market, with manufacturers seeking to balance features and battery life.
What happened
The Fitbit Edge, a successor to the midrange Charge line, has leaked. It appears to split the difference between the Pixel Watch and the Fitbit Air, featuring a small screen with widget capabilities.
The device is said to have a seven-day battery life, built-in GPS, and an altimeter, making it more capable than the minimalist Fitbit Air.
Limited app support is also expected.
