QR Finalizes Pay Deals With Unions, Restoring Full Train Services

Queensland Rail (QR) has concluded pay agreements with its workforce unions, including the Electrical Trades Union (ETU). A month earlier, the employer was still negotiating with network and rollingstock employees and working toward an electrical‑only contract requested by the ETU. The finalized deals now allow QR to resume all train services across the network. The agreements cover wage adjustments and working conditions for staff responsible for operating and maintaining the rail system. With the disputes settled, QR can deploy its full fleet and restore the timetable that had been disrupted by the earlier industrial action. Commuters and freight operators will see the return of regular, reliable service, and QR’s operational capacity will be fully restored.
