Statistics Canada Launches New Transportation and Supply Chain Indices

What happened
Statistics Canada announced the creation of two new indices – the Transportation Services Index and the Supply Chain Services Prices Index – today. Developed with an internal methodology, the indices will track changes in volumes and prices across transportation sectors.
They are scheduled for first publication on October 19, 2026.
