Trump Bans CNN, MS NOW, Politico From White House Access

On Friday, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be barred from the White House "effective immediately" for what he called "constant reporting of fake news." The post added that he would name additional outlets in the future. Neither the three media organizations nor the National Press Club responded to requests for comment. Trump has a history of urging broadcasters to drop shows he dislikes or that criticize him, and has called on the Federal Communications Commission to strip stations of licenses after criticism. The ban removes these outlets from the official White House press pool, cutting their direct access to the president and limiting their ability to cover executive actions in real time.
