Slovenia Continues to Support Forcibly Displaced Individuals

Slovenia remains a welcoming environment for forcibly displaced individuals, offering access to territory, protection, social services, and employment. The country has made significant strides in supporting refugees, including the Complementary Education Pathway, which allows refugees to pursue higher education while ensuring their international protection needs are met. In addition, UNHCR and the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior have organized workshops for interpreters working in asylum procedures, focusing on professional standards and communication with vulnerable applicants. Slovenia's commitment to supporting forcibly displaced individuals is reflected in its membership in the Global Alliance to End Statelessness and its participation in the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum.
