United Expands International Routes with 10 New Destinations

United Airlines has announced its largest route expansion in history, adding 10 new international destinations for 2027. The new routes include nonstop flights to Slovenia, Luxembourg, and Okinawa, Japan, as well as flights to islands in Spain, Portugal, and Italy. United's Newark hub will gain eight new destinations, all in Europe. The airline will also launch service to two French cities, Toulouse and Marseille, and will introduce its new Airbus A321XLR on several routes. The A321XLR will feature United's latest-generation Polaris suites and a true premium economy cabin. The new routes will launch between March and June 2027, with some flights operating year-round. United's chief network planner, Patrick Quayle, said the expansion will give customers more opportunities to explore new places.
