What happened
Viktor Gustafsson from CRG Racing Team has been crowned the FIA Karting World Champion in the KZ category. Gustafsson delivered a dominant performance in Le Mans, building a gap of over four seconds to Emilien Denner and securing the title. This is Gustafsson's second World Championship win, following his previous title in 2022. He will join other FIA World Champions in Shanghai later this year for the FIA Awards.
In the FIA Karting World Cup (KZ2), Markus Kajak emerged victorious after a Formula K front-row lockout for the final produced a blockbuster race. Anthony Abbasse won the FIA Karting International Super Cup (KZ2 Masters), becoming the first driver to win the International Super Cup multiple times.
Gustafsson's name will be etched on the World Championship trophy, joining the illustrious list of Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Champions. He will formally be awarded the world championship trophy in front of a global audience at the FIA Awards.
