Brazil Wins South American Volleyball Title, Secures 2028 Olympic Spot

Brazil's men's national volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory over Argentina on Sunday, September 20, at Maracanazinho in Rio de Janeiro, winning the South American title and booking a spot in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The team, led by coach Bernardinho, dominated the match with a score of 25–20, 25–23, and 25–20 in front of a crowd of 11,968. Opposite hitter Darlan led the team with 23 points, earning him the top scorer title. The victory marked Brazil's 34th South American Championship title and secured its spot in the Olympics, a feat the team has achieved every year since 1964. The All-Tournament Team recognized the competition's best players, including Darlan, setter Cachopa, and outside hitters Adriano and Aravena from Chile. Team captain Ricardo Lucarelli was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
