ESA Prepares MTG‑I2 Launch on Ariane 6 to Enhance European Weather Forecasting

The European Space Agency has scheduled the launch of the Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite (MTG‑I2) on flight VA270 aboard an Ariane 6 rocket from the Spaceport in French Guiana. The launch, slated for Thursday, 27 August, will be streamed live on ESA WebTV. MTG‑I2 will complete the first family of MTG satellites, providing high‑resolution data that will improve weather forecasting across Europe and northern Africa.
