Webb Telescope Discovers Hidden Galaxies Behind Red Dots
WHY IT MATTERS
This discovery could provide new insights into the formation and evolution of galaxies in the early universe, shedding light on the mysteries of the cosmos.
What happened
Astronomers have made a breakthrough in understanding the mysterious 'little red dots' in the early universe. By studying the spiral galaxy 'Saguaro,' researchers found a compact, bright red center resembling these distant objects.
However, unlike the red dots, the Saguaro has a full galaxy surrounding it.
When simulated at a greater distance, the galaxy's spiral structure disappeared, leaving only the bright red core.
