RoseBerry Media Transforms Classic Neighbours Episodes into Microdramas for Vertical Streaming
WHY IT MATTERS
The project shows how legacy TV can be re‑imagined for modern streaming formats, potentially expanding the reach of classic shows and offering fans a fresh way to experience familiar stories.
What happened
RoseBerry Media is repurposing two late‑2000s storylines from the long‑running Australian soap Neighbours into microdramas for Epis, a short‑form vertical video platform. The clips focus on a character portrayed by Margot Robbie, who rose to international fame after her Neighbours role.
Variety reported the move on Monday, and RoseBerry’s CEO Guy Hameiri called the show an “iconic piece of television history” that lends itself well to vertical viewing.
By slicing the original 41‑season series into bite‑size segments, the company aims to bring nostalgic content to a new generation of mobile‑first audiences.
