Cyprus Eats Launches People’s Eating Awards, Letting Public Choose Island’s Favorite Restaurants

Cyprus Eats, the island’s popular food‑blogging platform, has unveiled its first People’s Eating Awards, giving residents the power to name their favourite eateries. The public can vote in 22 categories—ranging from best brunch spot to most valuable value—until November 15, with winners announced at a December 7 ceremony. Over 700 restaurants were shortlisted by a 15‑member committee of bloggers, who scored each venue in a Eurovision‑style system to produce the top ten per category. The voting platform randomises nominee order to ensure fairness, and voters can unlock games and prizes, including a Bolt Food credit draw. Though the inaugural ceremony will be invitation‑only, organisers plan a more inclusive, street‑food‑style event next year to better reflect everyday diners’ choices.
