What happened
Dassault's Falcon 900LX, a trijet that dominated the market for 40 years, appears to be nearing the end of its production run. According to Dassault records, three new-build Falcon 900LX airframes were delivered between January 2025 and July 2026. However, since then, there have been no further deliveries.
In contrast, Bombardier's Challenger 650 has seen 25 aircraft delivered over the same period, with potential acceleration in 2026. The Gulfstream G400, another competitor, has yet to enter service.
This shift in the market may signal a changing landscape for business aviation, with customers increasingly turning to newer models. The Falcon 900LX's legacy will be remembered as a stalwart of the industry, but its eventual replacement is already on the horizon.
