EU‑Funded REMAP Project Releases 2025 Snapshot of Bangladeshi Nationals in Europe
WHY IT MATTERS
The data equips policymakers with accurate, disaggregated migration insights, enabling targeted humanitarian and development interventions for Bangladeshi communities across Europe.
What happened
The latest ReliefWeb release presents a 2025 snapshot of Bangladeshi nationals across Europe, drawing on Mixed Migration Flows to Europe, Eurostat, the UK Office of Statistics and the DTM Flow Monitoring Survey. The report cautions against summing figures to avoid double counting migrants who transit multiple countries.
It details the stock of Bangladeshi residents by gender and region, including the United Kingdom, and profiles underlying migration dynamics from the DTM Flow Monitoring Survey conducted in six European countries.
The snapshot is part of the European Union‑funded DTM project “Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy” (REMAP), whose goal is to strengthen evidence‑based humanitarian and development policy and programming on migration and forced displacement.
