Xbox Launches Mythic Achievements, Matching PlayStation Platinum Trophies

The rollout expands Xbox’s trophy system, encouraging completionist play and providing a new way for players to showcase mastery across classic and modern titles.
What happened
Microsoft has officially rolled out Xbox Mythic Achievements, a new system that mirrors Sony’s PlayStation Platinum trophies. A Mythic Achievement is unlocked once a player earns every original achievement for a game.
The feature is already available to Xbox Insiders and has been retroactively added to eligible titles that players have completed, including many Xbox 360 games. When users next visit their profiles, they may find that some of their favorite games have already achieved Mythic status.
The Xbox dashboard will display Mythic Achievements, and a forthcoming gaming tab will let players track both Gamerscore milestones and Mythic progress.
