Xteink e‑readers to access DRM‑protected books via new Libby plugin

Xteink’s pocket‑friendly e‑readers have long struggled with limited ebook availability, requiring users to source DRM‑free titles manually. The CrossPoint Reader firmware, a free alternative for the X3, X4, and X4 Pro, now supports third‑party plug‑ins, opening the door to new features. The first community‑built plug‑in will let users borrow DRM‑protected ebooks through OverDrive’s Libby library app, a service that offers thousands of titles for free.
