All Girls Foundation Empowers Disabled Women in Yemen’s Hadramout Through Integrated Support

All Girls Foundation for Development (AGF) is implementing a Life‑Saving Multi‑Sectoral Project in Hadramout’s Al‑Shihr District, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund. The program targets women and girls who face exclusion and psychosocial distress amid Yemen’s humanitarian crisis. Through outreach, AGF enrolled Fatima, a 27‑year‑old woman with a disability, in a psychosocial support center at General Shihr Hospital. Counseling helped rebuild her confidence and social integration. The project then identified her talent in handicrafts and provided a skills kit, enabling her to start a small‑scale tailoring business. Fatima now earns a sustainable income and plans to open her own workshop. The initiative demonstrates how integrated health, psychosocial, and livelihood interventions can restore dignity and create lasting economic independence.
