Philippine Airlines Expands Pet Program to Include Cats and Dogs on Domestic Flights
WHY IT MATTERS
This expansion allows more pet owners to travel with their pets, but space is scarce, with most approved aircraft carrying only up to three pets per flight, requiring advance booking and payment at least 48 hours before departure.
What happened
Philippine Airlines has expanded its FurPAL in-cabin pet program to include both small cats and dogs on domestic flights. Passengers can bring one small dog or cat inside the cabin for a fee of P2,500 one way, subject to aircraft availability and pet limits.
Pets must meet specific requirements, including age, weight, and carrier size, and owners must prepare necessary paperwork, such as a veterinary health certificate and anti-rabies vaccination certificate.
Pets must stay inside their carriers under the seat for the entire flight and owners are advised to feed them before departure.
