American Airlines and Hyatt End Enhanced Loyalty Partnership, Ending Cross‑Program Benefits

American AAdvantage and World of Hyatt announced on September 9 that their enhanced partnership will end, following the termination of reciprocal earnings on December 31 2024. The two programs will preserve all benefits earned during the current earning year, allowing members to earn, select, and redeem rewards without interruption until each program’s earning year ends. Members who link their AAdvantage and Hyatt accounts by November 15 will keep earning cross‑program rewards: Hyatt points through February 28 2027 and AAdvantage miles through December 31 2026. After those dates, status fast‑tracks, cross‑program point conversions, and other joint perks will cease. Travelers must link accounts promptly and plan to redeem any earned rewards before the partnership’s final expiration dates to avoid losing value.
