Netflix to Develop Live-Action 'Ravenloft' Series Based on Dungeons & Dragons

Wizards of the Coast's iconic campaign setting, Ravenloft, is being adapted into a live-action Netflix series. The project is currently in development, with executive producer Alfonso Cuarón, writer and executive producer John August, and Hasbro Entertainment involved. The series will reportedly center on the infamous Strahd, a vampire Darklord whose story of power, love, obsession, and undead transformation charts his origins from tragic antihero to a central figure in the Ravenloft setting. This development follows the update of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within earlier this year, which brought Strahd back to life. The Netflix series will explore the making of Strahd, delving into his complex character and the world of Ravenloft.
