The victory came after Nyck de Vries' #7 Toyota suffered a suspected hydraulic issue while leading the race with just 11 minutes remaining.
In the LMGT3 class, the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin, driven by Ian James, Zacharie Robichon, and Mattia Drudi, triumphed over the Manthey DKR Porsche crew.
This victory marks the second win for the Aston Martin team at COTA in three years.
