Microsoft Merges Forza Horizon and Motorsport Studios into Unified Studio

Microsoft announced that Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios will combine into a single studio today, as part of a large Xbox restructuring. The new studio will concentrate on the Forza Horizon series and the Fable franchise. Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty said the two studios have been technological, creative, and franchise partners for more than a decade, and the change will formally bring their work together. The move follows the closure of Turn 10 Studios, which had produced Forza Motorsport titles. The consolidation is intended to streamline development and align resources around the flagship Forza and Fable properties.
