Jaden Caradine, a Marine Corps mechanic turned aerospace engineering student, earned a NASA Pathways internship at Langley Research Center. While working with the in‑space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM) team, he curated the annual State of Play document that catalogs ISAM capabilities across government, academia, and industry. To accelerate future updates, Caradine developed an automated web‑scraping tool that collects relevant aerospace news, compiles it into organized tables, and generates a readable summary on a regular cadence. The tool replaces the manual effort of team members scrolling through news feeds, cutting daily research time from 30–40 minutes to a few seconds.
