NASA Enhances Travel Reimbursement Services
WHY IT MATTERS
This update aims to simplify the travel reimbursement process for NASA employees, reducing administrative burdens and ensuring timely payment for authorized travel expenses.
What happened
NASA's National Travel Service Center (NSSC) has introduced a new method for submitting travel vouchers, particularly for Change of Station (COS) travelers. This development aims to streamline the reimbursement process for authorized Agency travel, including domestic, foreign, local, Extended Temporary Duty (ETDY), and COS.
Travelers can now submit their vouchers through the NSSC Travel website, in addition to the existing methods. The updated process includes new forms and instructions for COS travelers, such as the OF 1012 Travel Voucher and the NF513 Service Agreement and Duplicate Reimbursement Disclosure Statement.
Travelers are advised to review NASA's Guide to a Successful Move, which provides detailed information on COS and ETDY travel. The NSSC has also updated its website with new resources, including the latest Taxability Change Notice for Change of Station travelers and information on Relocation Income Tax Allowance.
