NASA Consolidates Grants System Amid Payment Management System Glitch

NASA’s National Space Science Center (NSSC) has moved all agency grants and cooperative agreements to a single, consolidated award model. The change is intended to streamline processes, improve data quality, and create economies of scale. Meanwhile, the Payment Management System (PMS) is experiencing technical problems that prevent the generation of Federal Financial Reports (FFR). NASA has confirmed that affected grant recipients will not be marked noncompliant while the issue is resolved. The agency is working with PMS to restore full functionality and will post updates on its website. Grant recipients can request status information by completing the NASA General Information Request Form, which triggers an automated email response. NASA also issued a memorandum directing grant recipients to suspend DEIA activities pending further guidance.
