NASA Adds Relativity Space’s Terran R to Launch Services Contract

NASA has awarded a Launch Services (NLS) II contract to Relativity Space Inc. , granting the agency access to its Terran R launch vehicle. The NLS II is a multiple‑award, indefinite‑delivery/indefinite‑quantity agreement with an ordering period that runs through June 2030 and a performance period ending December 2032. An on‑ramp provision in the contract allows NASA to annually invite new launch providers and lets existing contractors introduce new vehicles, such as Terran R, into the program. The Terran R will be available for NASA missions and can also be offered to other government agencies, including NOAA. The Launch Services Program Office at Kennedy Space Center manages the contract, supporting the Human Spaceflight, Science, and Research & Technology Mission Directorates.
