What happened
NASA has invited media to cover the 35th SpaceX commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station. The mission, scheduled to launch no earlier than October, will carry about 6,500 pounds of science, supplies, and equipment to the orbital laboratory. The cargo will include the final sets of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays, new experiments, and materials to study the formation of a new type of glass in microgravity.
The mission will also transport brain organoids to uncover potential treatment targets for neurodegenerative diseases. NASA and SpaceX are targeting a launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Media accreditation is open to U.
S. media only, with an application deadline of October 1.
