Frontier Airlines to End JFK Service After 2-Year Run

Frontier Airlines announced that all flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport will cease on Oct. 5, ending a little more than two‑year presence that began in June 2024. The carrier cited high operating costs, market demand, and seasonality as reasons for the withdrawal. Earlier this year Frontier had already cut most JFK routes, keeping only a daily flight to Atlanta, which it will also discontinue. The airline will continue to serve New York from LaGuardia and Newark, offering routes to Atlanta, Dallas‑Fort Worth, Charlotte, and Orlando. Frontier’s spokesperson said the company will reassess market conditions and could return to JFK in the future.
